• Note the town clock in the steeple of the First Congregational Church which, Wellfleetians proudly say, is the only church clock in the world that rings ship's time.

• The Wellfleet Library is excellent. You can borrow dvd’s as well as books and it has presentations and exhibits. Wi-fi and computers are also available.

• The Cape Cod National Seashore is the heart of it all http://www.nps.gov/caco/ At Marconi Beach there is an ocean overlook and an interpretive shelter explaining the activities of the Marconi Wireless Station, the first in the United States, which was on this site. The Atlantic White Cedar Swamp nature trail starts from here as well.
• Not to be missed is The Wellfleet Harbors Actors Theatre with “Continually Adventurous” theatre and children’s programs too. http://www.what.org/shows/
• There is the Wellfleet Drive-In Theatre, one of the last operating drive-in movie theatre in the US. There are now indoor cinemas here as well, and the drive-in's parking area is used for flea markets during daylight. http://www.wellfleetcinemas.com/flea_market.htm
• Wellfleet's beaches are mostly reserved for permanent and summer residents as well as renters. There are glorious pond, bay and ocean beaches and a lot of fishing opportunities.

•There is tennis, golf, sailing, and even outdoor square dancing for adults and children on Wednesday evenings.
• The Cape Cod Rail Trail follows a former railroad right-of-way for 22 miles through six towns including Wellfleet. Its paved surface, few hills, and well-marked automobile crossings make it ideal for cyclists. • The Massachusetts Audubon Society operates the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary . The sanctuary includes 700 very special acres of woods and marshland which you can see on your own or by guided tour. It is open all year long and interpretive walks and classes are given year round.
